UC Network Specialist

To provide a higher level of service to our business partners, we are looking for an individual to serve as UC technical subject matter expert, providing day-to-day technical leadership and support for the UC services.

 

Main tasks:

  • Support video and voice infrastructure and its integration into the collaboration tools.

 

Requirements: Deep technical knowledge of two or more of the following product sets:

  • Cisco Telepresence services incl, TMS, TP Server, Cisco Conductor, Cisco / Polycom end points
  • Bluejeans personal video bridging
  • Industry Weapon Digital Signage
  • Cisco Jabber Video (Movi) / Tandberg
  • Cisco Jabber chat clients or Microsoft Lync (Skype for Business)
  • Avaya Aura or Cisco CUCM VoIP Technologies

 

Other skills needed:

  • Understanding of system logs, message traces, message routing, database technologies and current UC protocols
  • Understanding of standard fault finding processes and logical methodologies
  • Awareness of future UC technologies and their use in an Enterprise
  • Awareness of how UC technologies impact user’s roles within an Enterprise
  • Ability to create and improve documentation that is targeted to technical as well as non-technical audience
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources; has experience working with others on a global basis
  • Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships
  • Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make technical decisions

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related technical discipline or equivalent experience in technical IT
  • Minimum 2 years of technical experience with Unified Communication technologies
