The media-enterprise of around 30 employees - a public broadcaster - operates regional radio channels in Budapest, Balassagyarmat and Eger.

We managed the introduction of ISO 9001:2000 & ISO 27001:2005 based integrated quality management and information security management systems, and prepare for a third party certification.
Besides preparing documentations (handbook, policies, DRP, BCP), we also carry out full range risk analyses within the project.

Preparation of ITS Policies

Our consultants prepared the Complex IT Policy and Information Security Policy of the Universities. The former is built up meeting ITIL (ISO 20000) standards, the latter meeting ISO 27001 standards. Users' guides (excerpt) have been made from both documents, which assist everyone involved in keeping regulations.

The IT Directory of ELTE supports several operating processes in the University with IT tools. Our advisors created a framework system, which enables the designing of a business impact analysis (BIA), to prepare DRP's and BCP's for certain processes. During the preparation of these documents, all related management standards have been considered (ISO 27001:2005, ITIL (ISO 20000), CobIT 4.1).

IT Security Audit

MagiCom was responsible to carry out the security audit of the IT system of the Regional Governmental Office of Southern Great Plain, in the frame of its annual internal audit plan of 2008. Main focus points were the analyses regarding frames of standards, the conformity of data protection and the conformity of business continuity. A detailed report has been prepared about the audit, including the suggestions of the auditor for developments.

Penetration Test

Our Client contracted us for carrying out an unannounced penetration test of the Client's network. Our qualified ethical hacker associate first collected publicly available data about the organization then scanned the IP address range (accessible services and open ports) of the Client. Our expert identified vulnerabilities, and defined potential defence mechanisms, protection measures and controls. A complete, detailed report has been prepared about the process, including a summary for the management.

Certificating audit

ISO 27001:2005 audits of the information security systems at industrial and service provider companies.
MagiCom carried out conformity assessments at famous national IT enterprises, financial service providers and industrial companies, on behalf of its leading internationally qualified certification body, DEKRA. Qualifying audits resulted in involved institutions gaining international certifications on the operation of their information security systems.
